How It Works

ReTel SVA Process Description

ReTel’s Proactive Surveillance Video Auditing (SVA) combines the scalability and cost advantages of technology with the perceptual capabilities and inherent intelligence of trained video auditors. The result is a video processing and intelligence system unlike any other. Here’s how it works.

1) Secure Capture: Video from physical surveillance assets is:

  • Captured on-site, encoded and transmitted to ReTel’s secure servers for proactive auditing.
  • Alternatively, the ReTel system can be configured to securely communicate with on-site systems through a secured port to access stored video data for auditing.

2) Proactive Auditing: ReTel’s proprietary SVA process automatically:

  • Determines what video to send into auditing
  • Trains auditors to efficiently and accurately perform the required tasks
  • Creates video auditing tasks to distribute to the auditing workforce
  • Monitors to accept or reject auditors’ work based on quality and accuracy, thereby ensuring the highest possible levels of information accuracy and integrity
  • Adjusts incoming work from all auditors based on statistical algorithms to smooth data and double check accuracy for exceptions-based SVA reports

3) Advanced Reporting: ReTel’s advanced reporting engines:

  • Turn dozens or even hundreds of auditors’ work into simple, powerful, at-a-glance trend and exception reports
  • Link exceptions to video evidence to provide additional context around events
  • Allow reports and videos to be accessed online, received as emails, received as alerts or viewed in other VMS and CMS software systems through secure XML feeds
  • Provide security stakeholders with reports that are easy to share throughout organizations
  • Provide critical information that help businesses increase both their performance and security
