What if I don’t have any surveillance equipment in my restaurant or retail store?
ReTel offers low-cost surveillance equipment that can be purchased and installed for as little as $399 per store.
I have an old surveillance system that is not connected to the Internet. Can I still use ReTel?
As long as you have an internet connection in your store, you can absolutely use ReTel. Many of our clients have systems just like yours. As an added benefit, once you start using ReTel’s services, you’ll be able to access your surveillance video live from the Internet.
Can I still watch surveillance footage after installing ReTel?
Absolutely – and with ReTel’s data, you’ll know exactly what footage you should be watching.
Does ReTel interfere with other web-connected systems in my store, such as my POS and credit card terminal?
ReTel’s services are designed to have a minimal impact on your Internet connection, thereby prioritizing critical in-store systems such as your POS and credit card terminal.
What equipment do I need to use ReTel services?
There are just two things you need to use ReTel: a surveillance system and an Internet connection. If you don’t have a surveillance system, we can help you install a system for as little as $399, including equipment.
How long do you store video from my site?
We store the video that we process for two weeks. After two weeks, it is erased from our servers. We offer longer-term storage plans for additional monthly fees.
How secure is your video storage?
ReTel stores our customers’ video in the same secure servers that Amazon.com uses to stores its customers’ credit card information. These servers offer some of the highest levels of security currently available.
Can you really audit each location every day?
We absolutely can. Depending on the service plan you choose, our system securely pulls video from your site into our processing platform multiple times per hour, giving you data that truly reflects how your sites perform for every hour that is audited.

Questions About Our Auditors
What is the role of human auditors in the ReTel system?
ReTel’s trained auditors do video analysis tasks that computers and technology can’t do well or can’t do at all. This lets us deliver a suite of services unmatched by any other video analysis company…both in performance and price.
How do you know your auditors are accurate?
We constantly monitor and test our auditors to ensure they meet our high standards of accuracy. Those who do not are either retrained, or removed from our workforce.
Are your auditors located offshore?
A majority of our auditors are based in the United States, with the remainder located abroad. Our customers have the option of choosing all-American auditors for a small monthly fee.
Is my video safe with your auditors?
Absolutely! Our system makes it impossible for an auditor to capture or save video streams. Furthermore, our auditors never connect directly to your surveillance system, but review and score your video in a completely isolated environment that ensures network security as well.

How have other clients used the data provided by ReTel?
Our customers find that the best way to use the data is for both positive and negative reinforcement. ReTel’s data allows them to identify bad employees and either terminate them or train them for better performance. In addition, customers can identify best employees, and reward them to retain them.
Can you also capture and analyze audio from my site?
We do not currently offer audio monitoring.
Can I have you monitor more often during certain hours of the day that are busier for my sites?
Yes, the system can be configured to focus on specific days and dayparts.
