Sales Associate – Multiple Locations
Based in a home office, the Sales Associate will have responsibility for initiatives that increase sales effectiveness and efficiency. These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ability to generate sales leads. You must be comfortable with aggressively prospecting both on the phone and in-person.
- Experience selling to both multi-unit restaurant franchisees and chains
- Experience with 30 – 90 day sales cycles
- Preferably experience selling monthly subscription products
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5+ years of sales experience
- Some travel required for market research, tradeshows and sales initiatives

Senior Flex/Flash/Actionscript Developer – Chicago, IL or San Francisco, CA
ReTel Technologies is looking for a senior developer with a deep understanding of Actionscript 3.0, Flex, and Flash technology. You will develop key software related to video analysis and viewing. The work is heavily video based and involves interaction with server side technologies such as Adobe Media Server and Java Servers.
You will work in a small team of expert engineers. We are looking for someone who loves to code and works well with others.
Here’s what you need to be successful:
- MUST HAVE 4+ years experience in the following
- Expert knowledge of ActionScript 3.0, Flex, and Object Oriented Programming.
- Hands-on experience with Client-Server applications.
- Thorough experience with dynamic, interactive content in Flash 7 or later versions.
- Familiar with Flash Remoting Server, Flash Communication Server and Socket Server.
- Successful track record of compatibility, detection, and optimization techniques with Flash, Flex & Adobe products.
- Online game programming is a plus.
- Ability to interface well with Flash/Traditional Graphic Designers for look and feel and traditional Engineers for back-end logic/content conversion.
- A hungry design/development mind who wants to push the technology envelope.
- Samples of professional interactive Flex development – Internet accessible.
- Knowledge of Java a big plus.
Senior Java Architect/Programmer/Hacker – Chicago, IL or San Francisco, CA
ReTel Technologies is looking for a Java rock star (aka Senior Software Engineer) who fits the following criteria:
- Can work with minimal or no supervision on analysis and development tasks
- Takes active participation throughout the product life cycle that includes product definition, functional specification, design, development, unit test, code reviews and maintenance.
- Can’t keep quiet when they have a kick ass idea.
- Collaborates within and across groups in writing functional and design/UI specifications. (these are not horrendously bloated docs, just what it takes to communicate effectively)
- Identifies bottlenecks and suggests solutions to improve the product and/or development process.
- Has a bigger brain than any of the founders – (kind of a low hurdle)
- Must be able to grasp new technologies, methodologies and frameworks quickly.
- A high energy level, the ability to set and achieve individual goals, and great interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- The ideal candidate will participate and lead the decision making on the design and implementation of solutions that employ leading-edge technologies.
- Ability to call out an idea when it is on the wrong path and show what the right solution looks like.
Requirements:
- Bachelors in Comp Sci, equivalent experience, and/or a very big brain.
- 6+ years of experience in application development using Java with Object oriented programming concepts.
- Expert knowledge of the following Java related skills:
- Java webservices
- REST
- EJB 3.0
- Hibernate
- Tomcat
- JBOSS
- Multithreaded programming
- Network programming
- 4+ years of experience in shipping commercial software products
- Excellent debugging techniques
- Experience with deploying and architecting massive multiuser scalable environments
- Hands-on experience with Relational databases (MYSQL, etc)
- Ability to work and communicate well with the other members of the team. (If you’ve ever broken a keyboard over your buddy’s head, move along to the next post)
- Experience with full life cycle of Software Product development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired:
- Experience in video processing, compression, etc. (big plus). Streaming media servers (e.g. Adobe Streaming Server, Red5, Wowza, etc)
- Experience with Jasper Reports or other reporting tools a plus
- ETL and Data warehouse design experience a plus
